OK, I'm coming to comment here because today I was in the store and I went with my card where they should have given me some discount and simply because I had my card on my phone they didn't want to give me a new policy where I went a day before with my card on my phone and they gave me the discount. I don't know what kind of job it is that you have and especially the supervisor there told me to my face. You really don't have a good service.

I found all t he bedding and pillows I wanted right there in the store and had so much in my cart I could hardly see over the top. After I checked out, a staff named Miriam (I think) asked me if I'd like to get my car and she would help me load! That's a service I'm not used to and it made the trip so much easier. She was so kind. Thank you!!!

Please do better with customer service.
Please be clear and straightforward about your credit card sign up. Using deceptive language to get me to sign up for the store's credit card is not a right way, I did not fall for that.

It’s Christmas Eve and the way I was treated by the Store Manager Saad.B was egregiously unacceptable. I went in to TJMAXX in Olney Village towards closing to look for a last minute Christmas gift. As a person who has worked retail before I didn’t want to waste time so, I went straight to the item I was looking for upon entry I was accosted by the store manager with an astringent WE CLOSE IN TWO MINUTES, I ignored the rude welcome and quickly responded with a direct got it. After repeated repugnant reminders over the intercom at 6pm on the dot, the manager began to walk the isles and kicking people out of the store with a whipping get out and get in line. I shocked to be spoken in that manner by an employee, not to mention the manager of the establishment in which I’m patronizing inquired if that’s the way he is supposed to speak to customers. He said yes because they’re closed. Now I may not have worked retail in over 10 years but one thing I know is that you don’t speak to anyone in that manner, what on God’s green earth warrants that type of disrespect. I urged you to get him son proper training on how to properly lead and speak to customers because the next person might respond in such a civil manner.

The selections here are always hit and miss. Fortunately, the racks are pretty consistently stocked. You can absolutely find great quality and comfortable clothing. The back section has cool household items and accessories. The clearance racks and section can be a pleasant turnout. I'd recommend, if possible, to avoid this location on weekends until the later day. The lines get insanely long. You can expect to wait easily 20 minutes on any given day. The customer service can be hit or miss. It depends on who is managing and how many cashiers are available. The bathrooms seem ok, stocked, and clean for the most part.

I enjoy the store and got the majority of my Christmas shopping here. The pressure to sign up for a credit card is a bit much. They don’t take no for an answer lol. But i still will shop here.

This Olney TJ Maxx isn't my favorite as I believe the town of Olney doesn't get as many nice items as other towns. The men's department is quite beyond lame. Often I've gone in for what I think is a simple item and had no luck. Many times I've gone here and not enough people are at the checkout and customers start getting irate.

However, that being said, my last 2 visits have been fruitful. I can't find fault with the handbag selection, they do a good job getting a decent variety and one can even find a Kate Spade or Coach treasure among the other brands. They have a price point for everyone. They also have a good selection of luggage but make sure you test all the zippers, wheels and handles, inside and out. I find the luggage prices on the high side for a discount store, but it's still less than elsewhere, but just. (Luggage prices are outrageous anyway, especially now that people are traveling again.)

They also have a decent selection of cosmetic tools, lotions, housewares, etc. If you need a gift, you will probably find something here, but don't count on a nice scarf, there's been nothing to be had for the past several months (May-August '24 is when I was looking for a trip.)

Lastly, in my most recent visit, there were plenty of cashiers which was a pleasant surprise and something I hope becomes the norm. (Hiring issues aside, don't get mad at a manager who is shorthanded. I don't believe it's her fault.)

This is one of the best Tj maxx I have ever been, it’s very organized and clean, friendly staff and it’s located in a very convenient area. I really like that they allowed me come inside with my two puppies and be able to buy toys and new beds for them. I’ll be coming back here always in the future and I hope they continue having the same great service.
